When to prescribe eMax

eMax is an ideal option for cases that prioritize aesthetics over strength. Our clinicians often prescribe eMax for the anterior region. It is much less strong than zirconia, but more aesthetic and translucent.

When to prescribe eMax

eMax crown prep

The prep for eMax crowns differs based on the restoration being performed, however across all uses for eMax crowns, the incisal edge of the preparation, particularly for anterior teeth, should be at least 1.0 mm.
