What to Expect When You Apply
You’ll start with a brief call with a recruiter to learn more about the role, the team, and what to expect. It’s also a chance for us to learn more about your background, what drives you, and how you like to work.
This stage blends live coding and whiteboarding exercises based on real challenges you might tackle at Dandy. We’re looking to understand how you approach problems, write code, and navigate tradeoffs. You’ll also talk through your product sense—how you think about end users, the impact of your work, and how you make decisions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
You’ll walk through a system design challenge, algorithmic problem, or past project—depending on the team. This helps us understand how you manage complexity, make architectural decisions, and think through business impact as you build.
This stage is all about how you work with people—not just the work itself. We’ll talk about how you build trust, communicate, and contribute to group initiatives.
