Maximizing the potential of intraoral scanning requires more than technology alone—success depends upon sound preparation design, precise scanning techniques, and a clear understanding of digital restorative workflows. In this live course, participants will learn how to capture accurate, high-quality intraoral scans using the latest scanners and software, and how to apply appropriate restorative protocols and case submission requirements across indications ranging from crown & bridge, to implants, to dentures.
Through a series of guided hands-on exercises, participants will refine crown preparation and foundational scanning techniques, and learn how to capture scans for 2-appointment dentures. The course will also cover the latest advancements in scanning software, including AI scan analysis, live scan reviews and digital design previews, and how to use these tools for greater consistency, accuracy, and overall clinical efficiency.
By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
Understand crown prep guidelines, apply advanced restorative techniques and capture high-precision scans for the fabrication of fixed restorations.
Apply cutting-edge digital workflows and identify digital case submission requirements for 2-appointment partial and complete dentures.
Utilize scanning software to evaluate scan quality prior to case submission, identify errors, and reduce the need for remakes or rescans.
Demonstrate essential principles for scanning single-unit implant sites and understand prosthetic considerations for implant cases.
Apply live scan review, AI scan analysis, and digital design previews to support accuracy, efficiency, and predictable restorative outcomes.
Optimize lab communications, prescriptions, and collaboration when digitally restoring cases.
