Metal Partial Dentures

Metal partial dentures are a type of removable dental prosthetic device used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are typically made of a metal framework with acrylic resin and/or porcelain teeth attached to it. Dandy metal frameworks are custom-made to fit your mouth and are designed to be as comfortable and unobtrusive as possible.

Chrome Cobalt vs Titanium

Which Dandy metal partial denture material is right for you?

Chrome Cobalt

Chrome cobalt alloys historically are the base for partials as they’re durable and function well.

Chrome cobalt is the most common material for casted metal partial dentures.

Chrome can achieve a really high shine.

Titanium

Titanium is a newer metal partial denture material option that is 400% lighter than chrome/cobalt but still very strong and has all the same malleability benefits.

Titanium is more expensive than chrome cobalt.

Titanium does not have the same shine as chrome cobalt and visually appears more matte gray.
