Chrome Cobalt
Chrome cobalt alloys historically are the base for partials as they’re durable and function well.
Chrome cobalt is the most common material for casted metal partial dentures.

Titanium
Titanium is a newer metal partial denture material option that is 400% lighter than chrome/cobalt but still very strong and has all the same malleability benefits.
Titanium is more expensive than chrome cobalt.
Titanium does not have the same shine as chrome cobalt and visually appears more matte gray.
Directions for Use
To ensure proper use of metal partial dentures, dental professionals and patients should follow these steps:
- Rinse the patient’s mouth and the metal partial denture with warm water.
- Place the denture in the patient’s mouth and have them gently bite down.
- The patient should use their tongue to press the denture into place.
- Metal partial dentures can be adjusted chairside, however ensure you have the proper tools needed to bend the clasps in or out.
